I have found that there are good moments throughout this program (finding out I was a winning contestant, doing a "real" pushup, loving pull ups, getting 9 sprints, etc.) and there are down moments too or as I call them, roadblocks. After a recent roadblock, I have found a new energy in me that allows me to focus so well during our morning workout at Bootcamp. Yesterday and today I just kept finding it in me to keep pushing. It felt great. It's empowering. So, I'm more focused than ever right now, which in turn is allowing me to have my best workouts ever at Bootcamp.
After discussion with Ben, I've reduced my calories again, down to 1250 and will keep him updated on my hunger over the next week or two. I have bought some new foods this week. Well, they're foods that I haven't had in a while and some foods that I've refused to eat in the past but am incorporating into my menu without a choice. I'm loving the new blackberries that I have added to my salads and get this, I'm acutally liking the little cherry tomatoes!
This week I have worn 2 shirts that I haven't worn in probably 2 years. My pants I'm having to dry in the dryer now so they shrink and by the end of the day they're falling off of me. So, something is happening. I am not weighing myself for 4 more weeks until measurement day. I can't wait to see the new results. I'll be happy if I've at least maintained.

Getting ready for the rest of my life....
After a dissapointing MM class on Saturday I have found that I'm in a challenge right now and I am getting ready for the rest of my life. After a hard week last week (being bored with food, losing enthusiasm for the kitchen, wanting things to be simple) I have come to the realization that besides my extremely supportive fiance, I only need 1 person to support me through those down times.... me. And you know what, I am all that I need. Besides the occasional reachout to my family/friends on a bad day, I can and will succeed.
Tonia could see my pain on Saturday and she just gave me a hug and told me to hang in there. After some tears, a couple of phone calls (to Scott & Meika) and a shopping trip, I had a clear slate and fresh ideas. I can do this. I have never doubted my success but I feel like others are.
So, I've turned a new page in my book and I'm on a new chapter called Project Me. All I can do is keep plugging away, maintaining my fat & inches loss thus far and continue to work hard in the program. Today we switched cardio to 30 rounds of 30/30. I worked hard, pushed myself when I thought I was done I pushed harder at the next station and I felt good after. I have a great menu for today, loaded with veggies & fruits & protien. I'm looking forward to May 9th when we measure again.

BBC Pill -- not sold in stores.
I wish I could bottle the good feeling I have today for rainy days! I just feel awesome! We had a good workout today, I'll get to see some of my family this weekend and my mom very soon. Weather is getting warmer, fruits and veggies seem yummier and it must be that Spring is in the air!
Or, wait, maybe it's because I've been in Ben's Program for 7 weeks now, 6 days a week in boot camp, changing my body composition, eating better than I ever have in my entire life and seeing results! That's right, this stuff isnt' sold in stores!
I was glad to see that Lisa had a good workout today as she had a down day yesterday, I think from just being exhausted. We've all hit that wall, it stinks. But, she plowed through that thing with her purple pants on and kicked bootie today!
Ms. Tonia really made me work extra hard today! She's a fabulous motivator, especially on frog jumps and high knees with the resistance bands! Thanks T!
That's it for now. Probably won't blog til next week, have a very busy weekend ahead! Happy Easter all you little bunnies! ~Missy

Rockin' the 7%
Yes Ben, you have successfully taught me and I have learned that the scale is Evil and more importantly, it only gives a number and that number isn't important.
BBC was killer today. OM (freekin) G! Here it is:
Today we did 3 rounds of 8 reps of deadlift push presses, increasing weight each time. I got up to 85!! yippee!! Then we did 3 rounds of 8 reps pulls ups w/ big rubber band under one leg!
Then we did:
50 jump squats
40 goblets
30 kettle bs
20 step ups w/ 10 lb db, 20 each leg
10 skating jumps per leg (hard to explain)
25 burpees w/ pushups (wicked hard)
10 skating jumps per leg (hard to explain)
20 step ups w/ 10 lb db, 20 each leg
30 kettle bs
40 goblets
50 jump squats
Then, we found a corner and passed out! Holy wow it was hard! I was literally dripping with sweat! My body is becoming more toned. I love it!
I have created a new salad and just love it. My friend Heidi gave me the idea but I tweaked it a bit to cover all the bases (fiberous carb & lean protein).
2 cups baby spinach
3 big strawberries, sliced
1/8 cup crushed nuts (use wals or alms)
1/2 cup broccoli, chopped
1 pouch or can Tuna or Salmon
Dressing= mix together dijon mustard, EVOO, lemon juice and a wee bit of honey... tres bon!

Still going.....
Hello all of you fabulous followers! So BBC is just awesome and we are still going at it hard as ever! We're stepping it up on weights, reps and even warmups. It's great. We're even working out 6 days a week!
On Saturday Ben took our measurements. I have still only lost 1 pound BUT.... that's not important. My goal was to get my body fat down to 25% by the end of the 16 weeks. Well.... In 6 weeks, I brought it down 7%! yay! I have lost about 4-5 inches. I don't have the numbers right in front of me. So, I'm very happy with the results thus far. It makes me want to keep on pushing now that I know how well I've done up to this point.
Tonia & Erica are huge motivators for me. They really push themselves which makes me want to do as well as them. I think we all bounce the energy off of eachother. It's great. Today was Tabata and because it's Tuesday, Tonia wasn't there, bummer! We missed you T! So we did 4 stations, 2 exercises at each station. Did each exercise 40 seconds w/ 20 second break. We did 4 rounds per exercise at each station. Then 40 second break to switch to next station. It was tres diffy.
Station 1: Rows w/ Rings & Deadlift @ 65 lbs.
Station 2: Clean & Plate Press w/ 35 lbs & Pushups
Station 3: Gobblet Squat w/ 35lb KB & Hip Flutters
Station 4: 35lb KB swings & Renegade Rows w/ 15 lb db.
So we get done and E & I help Ben put away the weights. I look at Ben and he's looking around the gym thinking... "Ok, what am I going to have them do next." I turned to Erica and said "We're not done" and she said "Nope." So, he teamed E & I together vs. C & L. We used (2) 53 lb kbs and they used 44 kbs. Erica and Lisa started the farmers lift. Walked w/ 1 kb per hand to other end of gym, then stopped, did 5 burpees (meanwhile, me & C are doing pushups) then they picked the KBs back up, walked back to us. Then it was our turn. We did this at least 5-6 times. Holy cow. Then it was stretch time!
Just to let you know. My biceps are burning as I type this blog!
Wanted to thank all of my good support people (family, friends & moosers) but especially Scott. Every day he says something to keep me motivated ... this morning he said he was really proud of me for the commitment I've made. Made me feel really good. Thanks Honey!

In need of new foods....
Well, tomorrow is the 6 week mark! Wowzer. Holy cow I can't believe it. Although challenging in many ways, it's been an awesome experience so far and I really look forward to the next 10 weeks!
Workouts have been great and I'm really trying push through and get more reps. Today working out without Ben was hard for me. The girls still motivated me but it was still hard for me to focus and do my best. Tomorrow is another story. I know that it will be a challenge but I'll do it.
Food has been a little boring so I tried to incorporate some new thingsthis week. I have been eating romaine in my salads so I'm now using baby spinach as my base, no romaine. I have tried a new Ken's Healthy Options Raspberry Walnut salad dressing, and YES, I'm measuring :o) I have also tried steamed chicken this week and it's tasty with some spices on it. I bought baby scallops to try and I also tried a new pita this week. Oh, I almost forgot, I am trying a new salad tonight... 1 cup dry coleslaw mix, 1/2 cup red pepper, 1/2 cup pineapple, 1 cup spinach mixed w/ 1 cup yogurt and cinnamon. Sounds good right? I'm having with grilled chicken. I'll let you know how it turns out. Erica has a similar salad posted on her blog too.
Ok, that's it for now... Oh, wait... our Nutrition Tip of the Day... since Ben is out of town, we had to make up our own so we went around telling what our food was planned for the day. I got some good ideas!
